Delivering ARVs during lockdown

The suspension of both private and public transportation in Uganda cut many people off from their medications during the coronavirus lockdown. HIV-positive Ugandans were unable to travel to hospitals to access their antiretroviral (ARV) medication which prevents them from passing the virus on and allows them to live a normal life without restrictions. Doctors personally called patients who had not picked up medications and arranged for home delivery of the ARVs.
