Providing relief to those who experience homelessness requires strategic innovations and constantly evolving approaches. The coronavirus pandemic wreaked havoc on the economy worldwide in a few short weeks, but many governments and organizations honed their strategies long before the current crisis and raced to help those suddenly without a home. If bad times bring out the best in us, then the pandemic has provided opportunities to highlight new solutions.
For those who lose their housing, regaining it is much harder. Effective solutions to reduce homelessness range from keeping those at risk of evictions off the street to providing services for people who lose their homes, or finding creative solutions to increase access to affordable housing.
